Bones was robbed
of most everything
a boy needed and
would want.

He did have a home,
and Grandfather
taught him
how to fight.

He knew he was lucky
that way.

Bobby

Sometimes Grandfather has to teach the young ones such things for survival.

Good for Bones, glad he had a grandfather that cared.

Thanks Eric,

Bones always remembered those sparring matches in the basement.  Bones was lucky, he never really lost too many fights.  He was only knocked out once, and into the river once.

Always watch your opponent's eyes.  Never take your eyes off his eyes.

I didn't have grandparents, wish I had but at least I get to be a grandparent and great grandparent.

My Grandpa offered to show me a trick or two when I was younger. :-) He had to fight a lot growing up.

I don't believe in starting a fight, but it's not such a bad idea to be prepared for one.

You can tell a lot about someone by their eyes.

Glad Bones had Grandpa on his side.

He had someone who cared enough to help him survive... I'm glad luck was on his side there. *S*

Thanks dear Angellea,

You don't believe in fighting???  You're clearly not doing your part in fostering mayhem.  Must do better.

Just kidding Hon, it’s not good to fight.

What you say is very true.  Bones was very lucky.
