Hollywood

Adventures are for Hollywood,
not for my kind or type.
West Texas girls are little known
for glamour or for hype.
But I appreciate the girls
who live large on the screen
and in the yellow press, and have
no privacy between;
the girls who make the cash-box sing
for all that clever band;
who never eat, who dance and play
for us, to get a hand.
And if I had a daughter I
would raise her just like me,
to sit back and enjoy the show:
Doritos, extra cheese.

Cute! I guess Texas girls have their own kind of adventures filling their days with bliss.

Hold the extra cheese for me please, but I am not a spotlight person either. I lived in Hollywood canyon in the late 60's. It was convenient to be close to the theaters and live music spots.

~ Can I be your daughter? Hmm, I suppose
you're too young ~ Or, I'm too old!
Well, howsabout you and I watching the show together while sharing a bag of Doritas with extra cheese!?!

You never cease to amuse and entertain!

Love 'n hugs 'n Doritos!

Dorito's goes with butter in Texas.

Oh well,  cute write.

Margherita, Thanks girl!
Midnitesun, I bet that was fun.  I wish I could have visited.

suthern, I would never give up my privacy and my nachos, just for applause.  I can't imagine why they do it.  What good is money if you're starving and mobbed every time you go outside?  And to have to put up with all the jealous people who write lies about you just for the satisfaction of it, well, I wouldn't do it on a bet.

Hey, Bill, us Texas girls are glad you're listening!

Linda, come on over--I promise you Doritos.

Tracey, Fritos and chili and extra cheese.  Yum.  But, Doritos with butter?  I never even heard of it, .... might be worth a try, come to think.

enjoyed this a lot.

I've never been in west texas,
but I do remember a cowgirl in Galveston.

Nan,

Can we have margheritas too?  If so, I am on my way.

Love this one.

Thanks, guys! It's just a little fluff, but without fluff the world wouldn't be nearly as cozy.
