I threw my cards on the table then
several windows ago in front of your eyes
and you felt of my jeans with your fingers
to see if there was a gentleman inside

I remember your smile too when there was
but only part time and mostly rowdy enough
to make you want to be the curves of my highway
like a lover's gibson only evening strummed

there will be coffee smells in the sky there
on saturday when the clouds are long hemmed
and you have to decide if you will be or not
when I arrive early to steal the safety pin

that you use to dead bolt your bedroom door
when you want to sleep through your dreams
and hope they aren't gone again in the morning
there, across the street from never ending

just off the 33 up the hill from want to

Now this has me seeing Matilija poppies, and missing sunbathing river rocks.

So when will your verses be available to the world's lovers? You have this ace up your sleeve. Time to use it!

You are sooooooo good!

Dark

I have a copy of a Gibson ES-335 semi hollow body. I can't afford the real thing it's over three grand.

I love the atmosphere of this piece and the open end.

Hi DS....I have a guitar but most of its strings are broken. Enjoyed your song here, as always.

Strumming the strings of appreciation in the passion of music and it's touches.  A treat to us you are with your visions and your very capable way of bringing them to us.

I dunno.  Reading your poetry is like breaking a fast or a diet or forgetting I gave up cussing for Lent.  Damn.
