                   COMPLACENT

        I like being me, 'cause I like me.
        I'm somebody, nobody else can be.

       Nobody else has the shape of my eye.
        Or my color of gray in their hair.
      Nobody else has my bump on their nose
     With the end sticking right in the air.

        Nobody else has my funny bowed legs,
          Or the inward turn of my feet.
          Nobody else can say the,"Hello."
       That I say to my friends on the street.

         Nobody else can think my thoughts,
         When I'm sitting alone in my room.
         Nobody else can push with my force
     When I'm sweeping the floor with the broom.

         I think of my faults that are many.
           And I feel quite sorry for me.
             Then I look at myself and
                 I'm not so bad.
         I'm somebody, nobody else can be.

I can't help but laugh with this one, I am the offspring of this complacentcy, '

Thank you all so much for the kind words I'm just getting started with PIP altho I have written poetry since I was seven (7) yr. old I don't think I have enjoyed anything as much as I have these last few days with PIP Thanks again.
