I will never make anyone complete I never have made claim to this But my breath has been stolen away From the lips of a first kiss Quench the fire that is now started Smoke that rises to new heights Kill the seemingly endless days Until they fade into velvet night The heat you give off Though I am not burned just yet I relish the chance to writhe Dripping in our own sweat I am at peace in the world I feel your breathing on my skin The total sense of your touch Is what I am losing myself in ‘Love me to death’ you haltingly say And then begin to softly cry ‘No,’ I say as I hold tightly on, ‘I will love you until I die’ |
