The poet awaits in his house of dreams
Weaving words from visionary scenes.

The birds and flowers, the stars and the moon,
Or perhaps the sound of a mournful tune.

Lovers walking hand in hand.
Cactus in the desert sand.

A lighthouse beckoning from ashore.
A broken heart with love no more.

A mother's tender warm embrace,
Or just a smile on her face.

Inspired by so many things
Ink to paper it starts to sing.

Thank you all for stopping by to read and comment.   They are all very much appreciated.  It has been a while since I tiptoed in and it's nice to be back reading and posting again and seeing so many new poets.

And the poet's house becomes a magic castle... for at least a while. *S*

I liked this a lot! *S*
