Bones really isn’t into
psychobabble at all.

Don’t talk to Bones
about your mental anguish.

He doesn’t care how bad you feel,
unless you’re in real physical pain.

Physical pain is something
Bones understands too well.

Bones can relate very well
to your physical pain.

If you’re not in physical pain,
you’re not really suffering.

Bobby

Bones had to shield his heart and keep in check his sensitivity for all the pain inflicted on him and this is the result.

It's not Bones fault, it was a survival measure.

There are immense non-physical pains, dear Bobby, whether you think they are justified or not. Do you think Jesus only suffered the physical pain on his last day? Or would you consider Him suffering psychologically too from all those who denied Him and turned against Him?

Love,
Margherita

Thanks dear Margherita,

For your reasoned response--however, physical pain can kill, and is part of the dying process.

No one dies of a broken heart.  They die of the physical manifestations of emotional distress.

Here I must differ... Bones has suffered such physical anguish... but sometimes, enemies without are easier to conquer than those within. And if those inner enemies drive someone to end it all... they're just as dead.

The loss of a child is worse than any physical pain I can think of but then I can also understand what you are saying, in a way. Sometimes I read about lost love, self made problems etc. that appear trivial to me
when compared to the real tragedies of life.

Well I can't agree with Bones on this one but I understand where his reasoning comes from.
I can accept Bones perception.

Bobby - h'mmmmm, I do find emotional pain is very real and can be a death sentence if not treated. However, I'm not sure if physical pain is derived from emotional pain. I'm believing they are two different things that can manifest the same results. Might want to explain that to Bones...

Thanks Bill,

I'll let you try to explain that to Bones.  I have difficulty explaining things I don't believe.

I'm guessing "Bones" is a "had to be there item".

I just noticed that bones is pretty prevalent in your writing.

Help me out.

Thanks Artic Wind,

Yes, I suppose you could say that.  Just don't say it in front of Bones.
