Want to stop the wanting The little lies we tell ourselves To make it all worthwhile The toasts to drink mortality away And keep the desires at bay Burned for the sake of burning To have it all or nothing Sentenced to an earthly form And an ageless mind to deify me Within a soul of such intensity Feel to just have any feeling Unleash the locked away thoughts The forgotten memories of living To balance again that shortened lease And to ride again that restless beast Free the mind to the act of freeing This cannot be termed in words Thus cannot be expressed When there is no way to describe All the anguish of this agony mine |

Within a soul of such intensity Feel to just have any feeling Unleash the locked away thoughts I knew from the title this was going to be powerful and painful (love the title, by the way *S*)... but it's more than that... it's wrenching, hopeless. Superbly written sadness!! |
