walking on the beach Pictures, Images and Photos

No longer; Memories Slave

Lets throw aside our fears!
Memories are miles away,
What if the beauty that's so near,
Is really our hearts desire?

But what if it's not at all?

It's safe on the path where we are,
If we stay, we will never fall in to a memory,

Time keeps marching on,
Moving through us like a cold wind,
And ours, will be gone before we're ready,

Lets take a chance,
An adventure beyond the past,

May I have this dance with you in to the future?
Tomorrow is ours to mold,
We may be on the wrong path, it's true,
But now we wont grow old knowing we didn't even try,

You can almost hear it, the beauty,
Calling our new journey,

So inviting,
All the while knowing we may be falling,
in to a memory,

Or falling in love!

~ That's the spirit! Nothing ventured ~ nothing gained!

Enjoyed the sequel!

Happy trails,

Thank you all for your very thoughtful and kind comments,

This was written over 20 years ago for a dear friend.
Some things come to pass, some things just pass.

It was fun while it lasted.

thanks for pointing it out, though I probably would have read it anyway since I look for certain people when I am here and you are one

You expressed these feelings so beautifully, dear Tracey. When we love we always hope it will last forever, but moments in time are precious nonetheless. Everything, in the end, is part of eternity.

Love,
Margherita

If regrets must be, let them be ones for failure... not for never seeking flight. *S*

I liked this very much! *S*
