I am a blade of grass bending in the wind Bowing down under a weight yet not giving in To live life while there is still some time What else to do but sit and wait to die The night knows no end, there are no limits The day brings only what I take from it There are no do-overs, or given a mulligan So that all you want and need is a must can No backward thinking or regrets not a one Time for rest comes when your time is done Now the darkness descends into nothingness I will stoke the embers and accept nothing less Be a light for others to find their weary way Oh what a difference burning candles make And what a comfort tonight that they send Burning, each of us together at both ends |

Now the darkness descends into nothingness I will stoke the embers and accept nothing less Be a light for others to find their weary way Oh what a difference burning candles make Indeed they do. *S* What a beautiful journey from dark to light you write here!! And I love the nothingness/nothing less rhyme couplet... wonderful work!! |
