Here, I need to ask for help-- a rock and a log wedged beneath. Persistance, sweat, and graveling singing: "Oh hey oh..." is mine I am loathe to be complete. I am dancing to the song. I take the 'highs' of harmony and smile the flats of all our wrong. in time the tap-ta-tap-ta-tap de-dum I am merely only one whining in the high strung song wishing I were low... and Jung apologizing Freudian wishing for a lure of loose dancing in the dark chartreusse bouncing bottom zipping me as I let the play of juice yank the chain and sip the soup in the tide of beckoning: feel the tug of let it loose to reel it in by increments: a fat fish on the shore and flipped: flapping against measurement: There's something sad in it, dying in the grandeur of the catch in the ice and with the rest I mark it with a knife as mine as if I were a warrior because I baited and I played the bottom with the weights and stooks-- feeling nibbles, not conscious as I gave the line a yank hooking her mouth in sideways congratulations as I danced rocking the damned boat. |

You rock dance throw flowers in the spring for salty tears in a heart paper cut sting when all measuring is done and the last tear is drying you will discover there is no fear in flying |

Yo dear Serenity blaze, Nice catch Hon. Just don't rock the boat. A nice big glass of tomato juice is good for that. Love Bobby |

First of all, (down there) is a picture of two stooks. They are bundled hay, and it's just one of those things we see all the time and never knew the name for it. (At least I didn't, and I liked it--so I used it.) In this poem, I used it because it reminds me of marsh grasses, which, by the way, if you see those, you might be in danger of getting your boat stuck because it generally indicates shallow water. And yes, that's a hint to my poem's meaning. So thanks for asking. And the lovely Helen, I believe we did write a poem together before--not sure if we posted it or if it was just fun on IM one night, but do trust I've been wanting to duet with Helen for a long time. Dark Stranger, I'm a fan of yours, so a reply from you makes me very happy. Mish? You know I'm a devoted fan. I hope you know anyhow. I'm neglectful sometimes. Okay, a lot of times, but now I know you know. *smoochies* And J? the chartreusse is a fishing lure I've had quite a bit of success with in the murkier waters of shore fishing. But I'll bet you're aware of that little trick too. (and just avoid the rookie mistake of adding too many spoons on the line--the weight doesn't play well and I like to go for the redfish. BJ? Y'ever try to dance in a flatboat without rocking it? *chuckle* Thanks, doll, for peaking in. suthern--and one of these days, I'm gonna catch you while yer passing through! I don't know if I'm up for fishing quite yet, but redfish is one meal I don't mind cooking. (It's really hard to mess up a redfish.) yummmmers and hugs--I love you lady. tao? Thanks for giving me another chance. I tend to be edgy, and I'm not very likely to be voted Miss Congeniality. So I appreciate the generosity of your kindness. Influences? I'm a huge fan of so many poets--I think the Emily Dickinson is obvious, but Nikki Giovani is wonderful, but honestly, I have to pay tribute to the poets here at Pip that I have studied and followed around the forum, trying to learn how to utilize the tools that they use that I most admire. And smile--inspiration? It's everywhere. I find life incredibly poetic, even when it's harsh. *hugs, you* unboundpoetess? It's lovely to meet you, and as soon as I take a day to play at Pip, I'll be sure to return the favor of checking you out. And oh Sharon--you are a human flower. I love you. And I may be back later. I still have that inner ear infection, and it's starting to make me dizzy. Sleep sounds real good, but so does vegging out and watching some telly. And maybe a baked potato....hmmm...cravings. *chuckles* You people are the ones who "rock". Much love to all. *kiss* And hugs for A.W. too. (got by me there) *smile* |

Would you believe I've never tried to cook redfish? LOL Me... the gal who sends Christmas goodies to just about everyone who'll stand for it and some who won't... and who has the unmitigated gall to take even Paul Prudhomme's recipes and "improve" upon them at will... seems I still have recipes to conquer! LOL I was in the home state this weekend, but confined my wanderings to the western and central areas. *S* I did try to call you... you had the good sense to not answer? LOL Love you... and hope our planets will align one of these days. *S* |

wishing for a lure of loose dancing in the dark chartreusse bouncing bottom zipping me as I let the play of juice yank the chain and sip the soup in the tide of beckoning: feel the tug of let it loose to reel it in by increments: ------------------- Karen...so much charm hangs from the line of your lure. Dancing in the dark on my father's feet, what a treat! I'm always a fan. |

For Ruth: Redfish recipe: Bake (it's really nice that way too) but um, filet that puppy, and put some "Slap Yo Mama" sprinkles on it, and maybe a dash of wine, and dots of butter. (It's like..fifteen minutes, I swear.) It takes longer to chill the Chardonnay. A spinach salad, and omg...it's so romantic--what are ya doin' tonight? *chuckle* |

We have to travel a bit to get the "Slap Yo Mama" spice. But Sharon's son can vouch for it. I'll try to make the next trip, though. And oy, Ruth...I used that exact recipe and I live a block and a half from the parade route, and yanno? Those who knew I had that stuff baking? They skipped the parade. I love my life. If I die tomorrow, don't be sad for me. I have lived lives. thank you |
