Dear one who stands before me now I will not tell you not to cry, But rather catch your tender tears That one day they might be returned. Though I can feel the love you bear I cannot share your silver cup, Yet do not spill your ruby wine That one day lover's lips may share. Deepest of all hearts, ocean soul I am but dust and whisperings That you may snare within your palm and evaporate with the wind. Yet one day dust may make a man And one day whispers give a voice, Where lie the endless threads of fate? And where lies eternity's end? Do not drop your life so precious, Do not sever the woven thread, Deepest of all hearts, ocean soul I will not tell you not to cry. For one whose tears I shared and scoured my heart last night. Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told. |

just hold on, for fate, has a funny sense of humor sometimes....and just when you think you are heading down the right path...here it comes blowing in upon the wind to remind us...no..this way....this way... ~Warm hugs ~ARH [This message has been edited by A Romantic Heart (03-21-2009 05:28 AM).] |

"I will not tell you not to cry, But rather catch your tender tears" ~ The one whose tears you shared last night, is fortunate to have someone as loving and as caring as you to catch their tears. ~ a tender, compassionate write. Linda |

"Deepest of all hearts, ocean soul I am but dust and whisperings That you may snare within your palm and evaporate with the wind" this part here, caught me off guard... and touched my heart, directly. |

Really liked the emotion of the whole piece but loved the ending. "Do not drop your life so precious, Do not sever the woven thread, Deepest of all hearts, ocean soul I will not tell you not to cry." Very nice indeed. Eric |

To all who have read this poem, Luke has written it for me, and I can now say thank you Luke for being so sweet to do so, your words of comfort, and your poem for me, shows your compassionate heart, there is no greater gift to me, than words of poetry written from the heart, and for this, you have my humble gratitude... with all my heart, I thank you! ~Warm Hugs ARH [This message has been edited by A Romantic Heart (03-21-2009 06:42 AM).] |
