It used to bother Bones,
when people talked about his father
being locked up and all.

Yes, it used to bother him a lot.

He would visit Dad,
and Dad was always glad,
more than glad,
to see him.

That made things all better.

When Bones Dad passed away
that made that problem disappear.

Then all Bones was left with
was a yearning for the man
he never really got to know.

Bobby

That happens and it's so unfair but then Bones knows all too well how unfair this life can be sometimes.

The things Bones needs the most he keeps losing yet he holds on to survive....He's one of my favorite people.

Thanks Eric,

Yes, life is unfair.

Father was a war hero.  He spent over half his life locked up, and died there.  I was there for him while he died.  I'm glad I was there, with my oldest daughter.

That's a sad piece, Bobby. A deeply touching writ.

Thanks Mark,

Well that's the way life goes.  It's always part sad, but only part.
