Please go easy; I'm new to free-verse and not well-versed anyway.Thanks. You were my life And I, your wife. I gave you everything in me; You gave me a beautiful baby. We played at the park, embraced one another; laughed, talked. I poured my soul, You took it and stole; And, turning into a horrific Devil, You left us, cold--but promised that In fact you would always stay close, And then left and never a word. You typical liar, deceiving our world. |
