Fall is always hard for me... even the beautiful colors say "ending"... and beginning seems so far away. You've written the "which came first" beautifully, my friend. *S*

At first I said, no.  The leaves are a part of the tree, a piece of it.  And tears are just water.  But you convinced me.  The tears are a pulling of your self, and you have lost a piece of you.

Dear Bill, just today I discussed with a friend about whether or not trees experience emotions. Now here I see you too believe they have them and you expressed this beautifully.

Enjoyed also the most lovely presentation.

Yo Bill,

Trees don’t cry, and neither should you.  Trees do tropisms, involuntary turnings initiated by stimuli.  Tropisms are good.

I loved this Bill

Though trees their golden tears may cry
As the cold north wind sings
When spring comes they reach to the sky
For joy that sunshine brings.

Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told.

Your poem reminded me of weeping willows.  I'd like to think I was a weeping willow in another life.

A beautiful Autumn tone picture Bill but a rather sad poem. I hate to see a good man

cry but you do feel a lot better after shedding a few tears. Enjoyed the post.
Take care my friend.

And after all these years and long cold winters,
the big beautiful tree has survived the elements.
Like you and myself included, our emotions run deep, and that's a good thing.

This is such a lovely soulful write, Bill Charles.

Bill

Beautiful soul-searching words.  Think about it:  If a Wheeping Willow can wheep then why can't a beautiful oak tree cry when it drops its leaves?  You have convinced me that both the heart crying could correspond to the autumn leaves.

Bill

The tree is man's life. The leaf's that fall are tears which make men grow stronger and more beautiful. You have grown to be that tree. The tall mighty oak. Your sister is proud of you.

Nice comparison Bill
I think there's always something to be said about anything that's alive. A tree grows, breathes, supplies oxygen and cleans up the atmosphere etc.

This is a lovely piece Bill.

Again, Bill, a beautiful and soothing piece. I like the sense of calm your poetry gives me.

Bill, you are a poet ~ through and through!

~ and that photo is gorgeous!

With the advent of spring, your sap should be rising as well as that of the trees!
