woman on pedestal

Pedestal

Waiting, wondering,
What more can I do?

He has me placed,
On this pedestal,

I live as his wife,
With no wants, or needs,

I do as I’m asked,
I am here to please,

Does he know how,
I wish to be free,

Could I have my own thoughts,
Do I dare, just be me?

How I long to step down,
And simply walk away,

No longer his trophy,
I would do it my way,

Yet no matter how,
I wish to be free,

I love that man, so,
On his pedestal I will be.

The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked.

wow Billy T!

you are GOOD at this! This is a beautiful beautiful picture and I never would have thought of her sitting there, that way.
A great interpretation!

WTB, I'd say you are a very lucky fellow to have someone like that sitting on a

pedastal. Don't let her slip through your fingers. Enjoyed.

Thank you all so very much for your kind comments,
The lovely woman in this piece is not mine,

This portrait is a work of art by Steve Hanks,
and the woman is just a work of art unto herself.

Thanks for taking a look.

WT.

I know you were thinking of your special  little wife and I know she would not want to be anywhere else.
Love you both.  Mom
