My Mind wanders to war,
Not in it or of it, but why it;
Friends have gone and are no more
Others return changed by it.

“Can’t we all just get along?”

History says we can’t or won’t have peace
At least not for more than a year or two
So what are we to do
But make better swords?
No one uses words

I say I love you
And you fight the feeling
Are we at war?
The conflict in not ending
And we are no more.

Take my kiss anyway
Before you go away.

I wonder too why we just can't get along ...
but we won't as long as we are deaf and blind to love's manifestations.
