Just a truck chugging down the road, day is done got a heavy load. There in the road what do I see, a lab in the lights, right in front of me. Too late to stop I hit him head on, he bounces 20 feet I’m sure that he’s gone. I stop and jump out, cars speeding on curves, dragging dog to the side, lights careening in swerves. Blood on the road bright on my hands, asking god why justice demands. A friend by my side tried to stop the dogs run, from the other side and now the dogs done, We turn to place him on the back of the truck, but this dog was doomed to having bad luck. Off he runs into the path of relentless steel, getting hit three more times under the wheel. We stand in shock screaming no way, death found this dog and there he will stay. Some of the drivers said this never happened to me before, I can only think of this broken body and the curse he bore. The owner showed up tears in her eyes, “not your fault”, as she sobs to the skies. That didn’t help as I drove down the street, all I could see was the face of a dog so sweet. |

Yo Zaxby, This worked well for me. All dogs are sweet to someone. Mine is sweet to everyone. Everyone in the hood loves her. Bobby |

this is so sad!! I have hit a bird, and a cat. I sobbed both times....I can't imagine a dog...I'm sorry you had to go through that. |
