The pale sun peels off the weak, worn-out rays The earth stands naked waiting for the night Afraid of light, Love rarely shows her face But when she does, her face is full of pride The city drowns in the abyss of her eyes The clocks stand breathless from the bliss The planet shrinks substantially in size Conceited gods fall down to her knees They yearn to have her sit beside them They offer her fresh bread and wine They strive to have her grow inside them I’m glad to know that she’s just mine ------------------ I fell in love and kept on falling |

This is extremely beautiful in a haunting sort of way. ------------------ Words lay dormant in the recesses of the mind til called forth to a labor of love. By WildChild |

Thanks for responding! What do you mean by haunting? |
