I live in the water
I get no sleep
I am cold-blooded
it runs so deep

And all your life can't save me
I'm going to drown
I'm choking on something
That won't go down
And all your love won't hold me
You're petting a fish

I want to be you
On the outside
With all the problems
No where to hide

And all your life can't save me
I'm going to drown
I'm choking on something
That won't go down
And all your bills won't pay me
I float away
Disect and eat me
Every single day
And all your books won't learn me!
All your suits won't pursuade!
Don't try to win me!
I'll just decay
And all your love won't hold me
You're petting a fish

I held a fish within the palm of my hand, and slowly turned finger to palm. The fishie lived for a few further moments. i felt priveleged to show the fish my whole life...Now the fish, I call it Fred, lives with others of the same sort of species within the night sky...such beauty is it to be a fish...
