Diamond hard
And mushroom blue
Desolation
Then I met you

In you I found love
And humanity
You pulled me out
Of the quicksand apathy

In you I found friends
I thought I could belong
I thought I could be happy
But I was so damn wrong

It pains like rusty razors
Kills like eaten glass
I knew something so wonderful
Could never ever last

And now the worst part: it's all my fault
Yet still I dream of yesterday
I had all I could ever want
And I threw it all away
