Sorry I have to scream as I just found out that my homepage is no more.......arrrrrrghhhhhh......worked several hours this morning and when I came back I found out that my homepage is gone.....my site is available....and all my work is gone....gone....gone......yep I am crying as I spend months on it....I was proud that my site was listed in the top 10 by several search engines.....and now.........nothing.. I mailed the webmaster, but havent an answer yet.... sorry......but I had to scream a little bit... I don't have backups from my pages......stupid, but I always worked online directly....not using frontpage or something like that.....arggghhhh...this is so terrible.....and it hurts.....never realized that this page is so close to my heart....IT IS a part of my heart. ACK! That's awful Charisma! There's bound to be some kind of logical explanation though. Hopefully, the service provider will be able to explain, and provide you with a backup. Is their whole site down? Maybe they are just having some temporary difficulties, and didn't think to notify the people who post there? Let us know how it works out! Hugs to you!  |

oh I do hope that there is an logical explanation, I visit the members area and found out that several pages from other members were gone just as mine, but our sites Urls are still there, I mean the urls of my websites are there, but they contains nothing, just the same thing when you click at my homepage link above.....and I also saw several urls from others who still are intakt, I am so afraid that a hacker have done this.....oh and I still don't hear anything from the webmaster. I do hope that they have backups, but I don't know how these free sites are working. hope so that there is a logical explanation Kit... OH NO that is horrible. I'm so sorry, I know how much work goes into our sites. I hope it comes back, I have had odd things happen a few times with mine, and then it was back again later. I still don't have a back up either. I don't even know how to do one Good luck. Sandra |

I just received a mail back, seems there are network problems, and I hope that they can fix it soon.... I had odd things earlier too, but never this long, and not with a message within that my site is available...but glad they are working on it, even that the problem isn't solved yet, hope they can solve it anyway. Sandra you can make a backup when you use click at "save as" in the menu left on top. Thanks all for your support, I cross my fingers hoping that they can fix my homepage. |

It looks like they're working on getting it in place for you... Your work isn't just 'gone' - It's still on their server - You're just not able to log into it properly for some reason (on their end).. Try to be patient - They'll surely get it back up and running for you soon...  |

thanks Nan for your information, I will have patient now and after receiving a mail back from the webmaster, I have more confidence that they can solve the problem, I'm already glad that they take away the possibility to sign up with my username, as it was available that moment. That was what made me upset and felt like crazy...I really thought that they cleaned up my sites. thanks for the support Charisma |

The best way to back up your own online work is from your browser. Load the page then under 'File' select 'Save As'-- this will create the entire page on your hard drive with all the images placed into a folder... that way -- if anybody does ever loose their homepage it will be there on the hardrive to restore later... But I know the feeling -- Angelfire inadvertently deleted one of my accounts with an automated system that didn't like some code I uploaded in a test page to see how it would work on Angelfire's server (it worked fine on my computer) -- but you never know -- so -- backup, backup, backup... Glad it all came back this time..!  |
