As a race fan, I am sad to say that "The Intimidator", Dale Earnhardt
died today in the final lap of the Daytona 500, as he was fighting for position.

He certainly earned his nick name, "The Intimidator"........
He holds an awesome record of wins and trophies.

Fortunately, he died instantly, suffering no pain.
At best I can say, he died doing what he loved, his passion in life,
what he loved more than anything, next to his family.

As for his family, I would hope that we can pray for them all, including his
friends.
Prayer would certainly be good for the entire racing circuit,
as I'm sure they are deeply affected.

I've included a link to page about Earnhardt and the
tragic wreck.

My son watched the whole race. His friends mother called about it, though he wasn't aware that he had died. He's seen this and thanks for bringing it to our attention.

I actually watched much of the race, but then was pulled away from
the TV.....
I then later saw it on the news and was shocked!
It's so tragic.....~*sigh*~

Yes Irie...."doing what he loved doing best..."

I've watched the man for over 20 years...and his cohorts....I loved the times he and Bill Elliott would do battle....

our prayers extend not only to the Earnhardt family, but to Nascar overall....there will never be another Dale....

and racing will never again be the same....

I'm not a fan of NASCAR, but I've always known who Dale was. It is a tragic event, and racing will never be the same without him. My prayers go out to all those he has touched.
