I'm married and have two children 6 and 7.I read some of the stuff I write to them, more than I read to my husband. They love to make rhymes and such. As for love, I'd have my ups and down and it reflects in my poetry. But I write about other people's emotion also. I don't know about you but I think that poets are like sponges they absorb every emotion that floats around them. So yes, we have to protect ourtselves, but how? |

You've captured this completely, that soaking up of the emotions around us. And alot of what I write about also is emotions of others or certain situations that touch me. Does it make you feel lonely though, not to be able to share that with him, your poetry? Do we, as overemotional poets, need a mate who's NOT like us to balance us out? Sometimes I wonder.......... To capture and live a moment is truly living |

Well see I am VERY emotional.....but I don't think I could be with somebody who's not emotional. I tend to be nurtured and cared for.....I need somebody with a lot of emotion, maybe not as much as me, but a lot. Anyway......it's nice to get these thoughts out.  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |

Ditto. (what Dopey said) I have to be with someone that's as emotional and "aware" as I am. Otherwise there's nothing to feed my soul. and in the end we still pretend the time we spend not knowing when we're finally free and you could be -NIN "The Wretched" Angel of Darkness |
