If I were an angel I'd assemble the stars in our dreamland, intersperse them about you to radiate your world. Granting your every inclination If I were an angel, I'd imprison moonbeams like fantastic kisses in the heavens. And propel them toward the west in anticipation of a soft embrace landing upon your skin, If I were an angel I'd hurry to your side each night. Gazing at you in your slumber to quieten your dreams, and kiss away the shadows If I were an angel. I'd steal through your window like moonlight across the floor, as tender as the night breeze to sleep in your study arms, If I were an angel, I'd watch over you to keep you protected, Until the day your night falls silent Then inhale into your infinity with you. |

You are so talented! This poem creates such a romantic scence. I enjoyed the last stanza, and I think the line "Until the day your night falls silent" creates a stunning contradiction and play of words. I think your skill with language shines in this poem, and you have created a text that is as well penned as it lovely. I can't wait to see more from you. ~Merc |
