Sometimes thoughts turn downwards when someone asks 'are you ok?' it releases a flood of tears for no particular reason that you can explain and the sight of a falling autumn leaf makes you cry and the thought of humanity makes you weep And you feel like you will never truly belong And it all feels wrong And it all hurts. And outside, The full moon rises shining in a clear sky Like God has turned on his porch light So all the lost and wandering souls Can find their way home. ____ Inspired by icebox: /pip/Forum94/HTML/002080.html The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears. |

"Like God has turned on his porch light So all the lost and wandering souls Can find their way home" This is awesome. It really touched me tonight. Thank you for sharing it. Are you are sure that you are writing about you and not me? Smiles. Yes, I often find that God leaves the porch (or verandah, as we call it here in South Africa) light on for me - a wonderful moment always. Enjoyed this. - Owl |

You poem was so sensitive, beautiful and full of Light, that tears literally welled up in my eyes. Your pen is a veritable extension of your sweet and sensitive soul. Love & God's Light, Linda :hugs; |

Sometimes he turns his porch light on in the strangest of ways and the secret lies in recognizing that it is indeed his light. I really wish he would simplify matters for us! Good write! Oh, and in a different part of South Africa we call it "patio" (just for interest sake). |
