Tonight I thought of you while a cloud slipped across the moon in silence, the savagery of silence, like a shroud it wrapped the Moon Of Winds, the Famine Moon, the Moon Of Death, the full moon as it rose above the trees in majesty without a single nod to me as if I will forever be left to wander, far from home. ©2006 by icebox |

icebox To me, it was so very beautiful....with the clouds speeding through it and a golden circle around it. I hope you have a good night! |

Home... I don't believe I have one now. Time to make the skin I'm in my hearth. |

I do love the way you write, for so much comes from your writings, so many feelings and moods. |

the full moon as it rose above the trees in majesty without a single nod to me to show it knows I will forever be left to wander, far from home. I can understand this...the moon has its effect on me, sometimes too much M ( p.s. some of us "can do" but decide to teach anyway~~just a thought from another posting) |

Exquisite, icebox. And although it was so, in its original version too, that one edited line made a very big difference and brought the reader so much closer into the ambiance of the scene. I love reading icebox poems. - Owl |

One of my favorite songs of all time is one recorded by Judy Collins, "The Moon's a Sad Mistress." I heard it in the background of this one. Mr. C, even your sad/lonely poetry is beautiful....jo |
