Forgetting their normal steps My feet were left behind A challenge, nothing new So, I purchased my heart From the local Thrift store, While the lady at the counter With her wire rimmed glasses and mousy look Curiously, left hers behind It wasn’t hard to find, my heart; stuck between Calvin and Tommy On the rack full of jeans; Too bad she put hers in appliances |
