Yesterday, late afternoon, while shopping with a friend Down she fell and hurt her bum and this is how it went She was sitting on her stick, wich is a seat as well There was a crowd and someone bumped and down my Mommy fell With her bum she hit the stick as she came down real hard She lost her purse, her hat and wig, that wasn't the worst part Some nice guy picked them up and in haste she put them on Seemed that from her purse a 50 euro bill had gone But she saw the humor when the man picked up her wig And was hoping she could sleep because her pain was big Today she couldn't move at all, not even out of bed They rang the doc and he came down, this is what he said I'm calling down the ambulance, to hospital you go Is it broken or just bruised is all I want to know Badly bruised the doctors said, she has to stay a while Even then, rememb'ring wigs, she could produce a smile She can't move, from pain that is and they will make a scan I will visit her every day or as often as I can ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I think it will please her very much to hear a comforting word from her PIP friends. I'll print it and read it to her. Isn't it a shame somebody took a 50 euro bill ($67) out of her purse when she was down???!!! How low can people get. She's getting her bone scan next Wednesday and I'll let you know how she's doing. Thanks Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |

Honey, tell Mum I know JUST how she feels! I slipped on ice last week and my feet saw the sky...and although just a few days younger than Mum...I too had to see a doctor [chiropractor] to have him put me into shape... But it's still not quite the shape I need! Or Want! Tell that to Mum... and tell her please...with the exception of her having just a couple of days on me? I know EXACTLY how she feels! Mummy Muys...knuffles! |

let her know I'm thinking of her, and that she should let people know she has an owie...and would they like to kiss it and make it better?!  nooooo, I'm just kidding...  I'm very sorry she got hurt and that someone would be so horrible as to steal from her! That is rotten! I hope she feels better soon! |

Titia, I am very sorry about your Mother's fall and hope that she heals soon and feels better each moment that passes. Sometimes it amazes me how selfish some humans can be...the person that took her money must have no conscience. hugs to you both, Maureen |

I'm so sorry to hear this, Titia. Mama Muys has been such an inspiration to all of us for so long. It's sad to think of anything bad happening to her. May the fellow who stole her money buy a big bratwurst with it and choke to death!! Get well, Muys, and come back to entertain us with you unique style of writing that captivates our hearts.  |

Muys, Had to to laugh at Titia's way of telling of your fall.Because it reminded me of the day I fell on the ice while going to feed my Scruffy. Scruffy was a large English Sheep dog,so gentle and sweet. I fell down hard right on my "bum" too. Hurt too.But I said out loud s--t! Poor Scruffy, who followed comands, thought he heard SIT and down he sat beside me.I had to laugh then and Titia's story brought it back to me. I do hope all is well. so so sorry to hear of your mother's fall.... please tell her I'll be thinking of her, my mom fell to, some time ago, broke her hip...and it's hard, to loose your independence....but tell her, hey, it's our turn to take care of mommie... God bless you all |

First thing Mommy Muys said: "Oh dear, oh dear, did you really tell them I wear a wig???" I said, "Yes, why not, it's the only thing that made you laugh after falling down". And then she started reading all your lovely and comforting words and I didn't hear a sound for a long time. She's still in much pain, we don't have the results yet from the scan, maybe tomorrow. She's sending hugs and knuffels to all of you. Thanks for taking the time to comfort her. Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |

I sure hope things are ok for her...I feel so bad that she got hurt. It doesn't matter if she wears a wig! That is the least important thing...her being ok and not hurting is all that matters. |
