The pendulum of my life,
Has swung from mustard seeds to lemon grass.
It is as if fate was gazing down on me,
Not letting even one thing pass.

Like an oracle had come to me,
Addressing, finally, my discontentment.
“It is not wise,
To harbor your resentment.”

My brain froze up,
It felt like I’d had a seizure.
I was not addressing the truth,
But investing mostly in my leisure.

If it had not been for that sweet aroma,
Which finally brought me to my senses,
My mind, I’m sure, would have left me,
Wandering wordlessly, blocked by many fences.
