Fain An' I Should See imprison(ing) collective dream dream(s) dream(ed) dream(ing) mankind's sole triumph... is that o' chancherous failure-s Nightmared~ (tossing-turned) bred alive as morning (mourning) star - Lucifer's Pleasure ~sanctified evil~ christened holy...wholly; drowned under tears despair(ing) in callous bed o' selfish desire Hope~lessness; Hope~ turned alas distraught; to a playground verb where - legions seven ("deadly" sins) drawn admixed; amalgamation- in demons three ‘gainst angels four (fore) enraptured all in hate; dueling, o'er malignant morality; e'en though... submerged ‘neath the tainted tang o' quagmire shamed ~still~ an' yet; pursuing power/pooled in wanton lust(ing) Love~ terminology termed; catechism thrown... tossed aside into faithless shadowed streams turbulent and troubled; no hint o' "crystal clearing" where... faith~ tear-born trash o' guilt implied denied retried an' achieved deems futures ne'er found... for that all which is claimed, e'er is it shown, in tragic scenery- ~benevolence~ acts o' kind(ness) are faux an' far between |

I agree with walter... liked this...cryptic and dark... creative stlye and presentation too take care jm Now for me some words come easy But I know that they don't mean that much Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch You never knew what I loved in you I don't know what you loved in me Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be jackson browne |

Chris - this has got to be my personal favorite of all your works. I could just be partial to the subject matter but this is written so well... It wreaks of futility and power simultaneously. Love the line: an' yet; pursuing power/pooled in wanton lust(ing) Love~ but then you knew that would grab me.... Wonderful poem bud... michael |

Very intense... I find it reminds me of the confusion found in the bible - was that your intent? [This message has been edited by Seaangel (edited 03-13-2000).] |

Walter - Thank you! Exactly the feel I was hoping for! Anthony - Thank you. JM - Thank you too, I'm glad you enjoyed... and I always take care! Mike - Yes, thank you... and thank you for leaving the demons at my house instead of taking them with you! They've been constant companionship since you've left...good and bad. SeaAngel - Yes and no... yes in that I wanted it to feel "biblical" but no one the confusion part.. that wasn't intentional.. it just sorta happened! Thanks... |
