Crossing In the Night With Near a Full Moon on the Lake Looking back Mist plays in moonlight As the oarsman hums a song, Peering back To see your house light But he has rowed me too long, The dark shore shadows Hidden beneath the bare trees Skeletons that glows Dancing with the breeze, Gone away, To destiny’s hands Carrying fists full of rage, Far away To another’s land At the whim of my wise liege, The boat arrives there Across the calm moon kissed lake, Sun rise is now there As the leaving road I take. An exquisite crossing, this... I shall watch under the moon's bright eye this night for the traveler... |
