Gin blossoms emerge from my garden
Chagrined in the freezing rain of an autumn day
Just another perfect metonymy
To stand for the perdition making way
Missing you...
Because this love I feel requires counsel
I sedulously tend this garden for you
Trying to find a place over the clouds free of Comstockery
Trying to save both me and you...

When you're not around I feel I'm not allowed to stand
Must I spell your name on some Ouija board to summon your hand?
This planchette is being soiled with the tears of my doppelganger
Only your pretty face is hopeful for this hopeless one...

Blind and silenced is how I'm feeling
Stubborn and endlessly my heart is reeling
It all seems impossible
It all seems intolerable
I've been everything for you
And all I ever feel from you
Day and night is silence
While I love you in complete vigilance

So many times I have tried to pray
That the special magic we have is not inchoate
Being marked with caveats and cliches
Here for you
But what you cherish is sleight of hand
And disappears when you try and read the Braille
I worry now I can't interpret it anymore
Nobody wants to anymore

My tears drip down my cheeks in anaphora
I'm just a maudlin hiding in my carapace
Desiring to feel the power of your voice soon
In mezzo-soprano, longing to dearly hold you...

Noah, you're in a league of your own! I honestly do not know how you can keep coming up with stellar poetry like this and manage to reply to so many others! It's super human!---Of course it is! You have special powers! You have the angel touch!

Sweet Noah, congratulations again on your 18,000 post. This, friend, is a very, very good work. I love the way you wrote it...the thoughts, the words, the style....everything. I don't know how I missed this, except that you wrote it on my birthday when I was at my parents house. I'm glad somebody bumped it back up here. Thanks for sharing your heart with us, sweet Noah.

Intense.. I especially liked the fading ending as well as your insightful use of language... had to look some words up and I like that, keeps me on my toes!
