I chased my shadow into the night, but it wouldn't leave me alone. No matter how I twisted and turned, there it was, my awful clone. I finally gave up without a fight... it was hopeless trying to hide. The only solution was to hang my head, then my shadow... it suddenly cried. I gathered it up into my arms and soothed it's aching heart. I told it I would never leave, and never would ask it to part. For united we stand, divided we fall. When our back's up against a wall, we are One. (OK, now it's YOUR turn, friends, have you got a shadow poem?) [This message has been edited by Midnitesun (09-09-2002 09:26 AM).] |

This is so very well done, Kacy... I have been trying to write something like that for quite a long time... in fact, I have half a notebook filled with failures... but you have said just what I had been trying to say....... absolutely perfectly! ~ chipmunk hugs...green with envy Lyra |

Julie, thanks for reading. Did your shadow slip away from you for a minute? Secret, you can run but you cannot hide? Lyra, then it rightfully belongs to you. I must have gathered it up from a runaway Michigan moonbeam. |

Kacy, INCREDIBLE! I wish I were half as clever as you. Have you acquired a magic carpet to go along with that camelhair bikini? If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

If shadows lined up as they should each morning at this time would the day walk easier the words upon a mind or settle back into slumber to try again horizontally shadows dissapear |
