This poem was written in remembrance to my 1st period English Teacher. Ginger Chadwick. I dedicate this poem to her Parents and Siblings and all who are touched by her...  My Teacher I know you are in Heaven, My teacher shinning bright, Yet, I can not help but to hurt, For your remembrance today. I hear you, in my heart, Telling me it's all ok, Yet my tears flow, For a special teacher like you, I did not want to go. I know there comes a time, When we all must say goodbye. Yet, I thought it would be, My graduation day. You smiling and proud of me. I know in my heart, you are safe and sound. Yet as I look around the school, I know longer see, your eyes shinning bright. I know what you wanted out of life, To be a teacher and make a difference, in our young lives. You will not be forgotten, You shall be missed. BY friends, family, and students. I am proud to say, You were my teacher, and will forever be my guide. The lessons you shared, will be cherished forever, Through out our lives. I know someday, we shall meet again, You will be the teacher leading small angels, and holding their hands. Until we meet again, know I'll always remember, and look up to the teacher, Who always did understand. You are forever engraved, upon hearts of many. You were a work of art, here on earth. I Know God chose you, For your Heart, ever so true. Someday many of us will follow, Just to meet you, once again. Until then, we will do the best we can. Making you proud of the good deeds, you have shared, with us left here on earth. While Heaven, has now become your turf. Holding angels hands, and sharing lessons of life and love. I wrote this poem after praying. I looked at a piece of paper picked up my pen and moved my hand around on the paper and this is what came out. In class today we got an assignment back today, of course it was from her class. We were instructed to write a poem that shows something ironic. Now today I feel guilt and sorrow for writing what I wrote. Here it is Leaving Day As I get older You will no longer see The child inside of me here I stand in an older land No don't get older I can just hear them say those words I cannot let you go now to a place not yet known I know what I am doing I can see where I am headed I will be free from harm and believe me I won't break an arm you need not anticipate until you sit and wait give me a moment to live, to learn, to love 3-19-02 7:55am 1st period English |

Kellie, a very warm welcome to Passions from all of us here. I am so pleased you came here and gave us more insight into the young woman we know through her father, Larry Chadwick. She must have been a very caring and loving person, and even though you will miss her so, you can write about her here, if you like, and help us to know her better. Kellie, you show your love and respect for a vital, young woman that served her purpose well during her lifetime. I see that you learned from her more than just English, as your love of humanity is evident as is your kindness of heart (I heard she rubbed off on people that way). I am emailing this to her Dad right at this moment to read, and he said to me earlier this evening, that his afternoon with you all at the school meant more to him that he could even express. Kellie darling girl this is excellent writing, thank you for showing us a young woman who we didn’t know well but someone who we would have liked to know better. I didn’t think I could cry anymore your poem has brought the tears again, I think my heart will always carry them. We only knew Ginger Michelle through her father Larry, but he painted a picture of someone who was as caring and compassionate of heart as she was beautiful of spirit. Thank you for this wonderful poem, welcome to Passions souls as tender as yours will always be welcome in this hallowed place. I had her class 1st period. I was unable to meet him. He came later in the day. I really would like to though, He sounds like a wonderful man, and guessing from his Daughter his is going to be more than wonderful. Godbless and thank you all. |

We knew from Ginger Chadwick's Dad, what a special person she was....as is he... but it was absolutely incredible to hear it from one of her student's also. It seems that she must have made quite an impression on you and that alone, is a tribute to her. Kellie, I was so excited today when you told me at school that you were going to stay here at Passions! But everyone should know...this is the "beginning-of-the-school-year, I'm-older-than-I-look" look for Ginger. But that is truly what I love about this picture. Thank you Kellie, always. |

Thank You all for all the kind words. I was very happy at the flagpole today at school, seeing all those candles and the flag, It was a very happy day to meet my teacher's parents and I am looking forward to coming to the service tomorrow afternoon. I am very honored to be able to have the opportunity to read it to everyone in attendance, with the help of my friend Serene who is going to read a portion of it as well. I was very happy to read it and it made me feel so much better. In the past year I have been to 6 funerals today my 7th so I have trained myself not to cry, but let me let you in on a secret... I cried today. I was honored and I was glad I was able to take a peak and see her one last time. I hadn't seen her since the tuesday before she died. I am just thankful that before I went home on tuesday I stopped by the class room to say hi. and that I would talk to her monday. And I did. I talked to her through prayer and I think I got an answer today. She will never look away from us. I love her, I love her family. I will always have a place for the entire Chadwick family in my heart if you need me I am here. |
