Moments to remember those whose death was simple fate
Engaged in wars to kill the ones they truly did not hate
Men who battled enemies who should have been their friends
Only war can make that kind of wound that never mends
Reality is vicious and can never be retold
In terms that we can understand the daring and the bold
All our tears are mirrored in the black of polished stone
Like silent thoughts, this monument speaks loudly on its own

Did you forget to raise the flag for which our soldiers fall
Are you about to recognize the truth behind it all?
You and I are humble souls beside this granite wall

(big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, your words touch my heart so deeply always, sadly these ters can never be erased, though also beyond the wall the hearts and the love these men had will always be honored and remembered! (sigh) This is such a compassionately heartfelt dedication, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Elizabeth, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Thank you Liz for this write...Perfectly
done...a warm piece of a loving heart..

They,  our greatest generation,  they are
the ones who made that sacrifice for our
freedom.  Without them,  we might not be
here today,  able to express to them our
gratitude for what they have done for us.

Throughout time, men and women of the armed forces have died to keep us free...I fly my flag proudly. Thank you for this Liz.

Thank heaven for those who battled, so that we can all have the freedoms we enjoy. A very timely reminder Liz, to spare a thought to those who laid down their lives for us.
