When the end came he stood there alone Facing his captors standing tall His country had brought unto him The knowledge and skill to face this moment He had served valiantly and refused to break Answered not their torture And felt not their questions When they stood him there against the wall He faced them standing tall His head held high They had not broken him His final journey had come at last And he would take his first step A man. ~You might say I'm a Dreamer, but I'm not the only one... |
