My Gift for You (support for Madame Chipmunk)

I couldn’t get you out of my mind,
And all the things you’re going through.
It’s likely that I’ll never understand,
The challenges that life has brought to you.

But that does not prevent my thoughts,
From reflecting on the needs you know.
And in the silence where I found you,
I began learning what it means to grow.

Again I truly must confess my lack,
For honesty is all I have to give.
What is there that I could sacrifice,
That would ensure that you may live?

Then I recall other pains that you have known,
And acknowledge grief to you is not new.
It’s courage I would beg to pass your way,
To face the trials that are facing you.

So it is friendship too I hope you take from me,
For ultimately that is all I have that I may share.
And remember, even that I got from you,
Give and you shall receive if you dare.

Larry, I don't think that there are words in the English language, to express how much I appreciate this poem.
You are a very valued and trusted friend.
When I saw this, I started crying because I was so touched.

Larry, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Lyra is one very, very special person and continually warms my heart, also, with her continual giving of love and friendship. I'm sorry I missed this earlier. Been busy with errands and just made quick logins.
