The Shores of Alone

I want a man who understands
who's unafraid to take my hand
and walk with me on distant shore
to love with me forevermore.

I want a home for little girls
a haven safe, a better world
where no one ever would deny
these precious souls their smallest cry.

I want to go back into time
to days when love was not a crime
and hatred was not daily news
there was no need to sing the blues.

I want love to consume my life
not as it is, just constant strife.
Feel happiness flow all around
and pull myself up off the ground.

So Doctor Love, what is your cure?
Can you prescribe how to endure?

I would hope the Dr would suggest something in the lines of ....
