I have been given carnations today I wonder what do they say? Do they speak of emotions hidden between the tiny folds of their hearts? Do their petals tell of a road and how it was taken from the start? Would those emotions last to the last? Or would they go away by the end of the day? A short story Unfinished Shorter than the red small petals Of a carnation Yet longer in misery Than the long leaves Ever standing In anticipation A red carnation And a yellow one Left on my desk….. Unnamed Untitled A silent token In a calm day Do they tell Of things that might Sweep away? Of a future unknown Untouched like the sunray? They say that red carnation Speak Of the suffering of the heart In its awesome peak A suffering more than We deem to know Does this red carnation say so?? And what does the yellow one say? That I want you here Near Alway? That my jealous heart Wants you to forever stay? Forever walk my way? Carnations Secret incantations Unnamed …. Untitled.... Messages hidden between The folds of the softly wrinkled petals Leaving the unspoken message to me Smaller? Or bigger than the sea?? That’s the enchanting mystery… ~*~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~*~ ~~ Thank you ~~ |

Oh how absolutely beautiful. So much can be said with flowers and for you they leave you with questions of their meaning. This poem is one that shows the pondering of your heart. Stunning. I love it. You deserve to get flowers, my friend. Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. [This message has been edited by Startime (edited 10-28-2001).] |

Perhaps the question is: "What do you hear?" ...or maybe: "What do you want to hear?" -MVS "Learn to let go of fear, doubt, and disbelief..." --THE MATRIX |

Melody, if I could, I would have sent them, as you so deserve much love and sweetness. This is a lovely poem, and thank you again for all your support lately, too. Sandra |
