The Leavetaking – Part 5 …his ship had harbored in the bay the fog yet to burn in late morn droplets of mist surrounded in gray as I held our babe, just born “M’love, do not tear up so,” he chided, so tenderly “I shall be back, upon my vow!” he whispered, quietly I looked deep into brown eyes his promise I wanted fulfilled but a tremor came over me unwanted tears had spilled “My dear love, my sweetest heart, be careful, come home to me!” anguish filled his countenance he held me tightly by the sea. Ahh Lady...do you read minds? I saw part 5 in the title and realized I missed 3-4 in my absence since Sunday...then I saw your thread leads.... thank you...I shall keep this one as my link to the others and read them ALL in order. This distance has shown how the road remains alone |
