Your finely crafted verses play a tune And splash across the canvas of my mind A picturesque fair wood or sandy dune; I’ve seen the world through phrases you’ve designed. Your pen has caused my tears to freely flow Cascading falls from sorrows that you share And wisdom gleaned, on me, you do bestow You gift my soul because you truly care. A healing balm I’ve found in clever wit My burdened heart set free once more to fly Aloft again in ever graceful flit Your gentle words, the breeze that lifts me high. A symphony you softly play for me Upon the page when you write poetry. [This message has been edited by Denise (edited 02-04-2001).] |

Gorgeous, Denise, akin to Beethoven's ninth, I would say. To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |

Denise, I loved everything about this. Very well done!! LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
