Listening to every heart

Soon Love's Music

in the sky heavens, far away distant, aloft
hands float and touch and meld, sweet, soft
keys of cream ivory, keys of ebony, too
music of piano floats, soft, supple, new…

~*~

how does the musician imagine a tune
how does a soloist know when to croon
perhaps, in the sortilege of a summer day
that comes one instant ahead of soon…

~*~

to hold that twinkling in a concerto's tone
or to grasp with emphasis impetus' own
as to know a love in the nucleus of a noon
when that day comes just ahead of soon…

~*~

and whether in this sheer, a mystical quality
that dwells under the sun, in the heart of me
that, if confessed in one word of poetry
would bring you then ahead of soon to me…

~*~

for I perceive you in cream of ivories
as you fathom to possess the key of me
as the pass to poetry should in all reality
be delicate as the love you bring soon to we…

~*~

truly I could quote the entire text - but the summation:
"the pass to poetry should in all reality
be delicate as the love you bring soon to we"

shall suffice as it truly does sum up a georgous poem!

Sunshine--I love this, mellifluous and soft. Beaufiful write.

well this tickles me ivories for sure..
what a very cool write...
very cool use of metaphor to express the love, the music and the poetry...
and the love of all three.
those above verses are poetic perfection
love this one Sun..way cool

Kari love, truly wonderful love, utterly beautiful, singing in accents clear and strong. I really love this one as much if not more than the others. You have the magic touch dear heart. Absolutely delightful.
Take care

" I perceive you in the cream of ivories..."  for some reason that line really hums loudly....as does the entire poem. Nicely done, sunshine
