The Sweetest Wine
~*Marge Tindal*~

I traipse among your ripened memories
it's such a pleasured romping
Upon these vats of Concord pleasures
squeezed through barefoot stomping

You ripened slowly through the ages
into memories of mellowed bouquet
I will drink of you, my love
from the cellars of yesterday

Intoxicating aroma swirls you
within this crystal heart of glass
Ah, the tasting of the harvest
quenching me at last

From vine - to wine
you've aged with Claret taste
Welcomed on these thirsty lips
one drop, I would not waste

Fill my glass with remembrance
of the memories of you
I will drink of the sweetest wine
savoring the vintage of you

Marge~

Hang onto them both my friend.  That wine and those memories will be priceless in time. These lines are beautiful . . .

I'm getting tipsy this morning, I just read a poem about wine!  I love the feeling!
Marge, are your feet purple! This is lovely, by the way, and I toast you!

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.

just the first lines of the vine alone are worthy of remembrance...

So how does one get bottled up in your memories my friend?  Don't tell me, just let me savor the fine bouquet of your beautiful verse and the wonderful vintage of your amazing spirit.  Superbly written my friend and so YOU.  Now how could that not be the selection of the day?
