Since Passions is my home away from home and the poets here like family...I wanted to share my good news and couldn't think of a better way than in a poem The Proposal he knelt there beside her shy smile trying to hide the nervousness he felt as he fingered the tiny box imprisoned deep within his pocket clearing his throat he tumbled well rehearsed words through his mind as they stuttered from his lips just last night he’d practiced a hundred times to his reflection while standing in front of the mirror with the diamond ring clasped between two rough fingers marveling at his whit and charm and tonight looking into her deep blue eyes captivated by her presence the words that departed his mouth as smooth as velvet only hours before left sandpaper traces as they scraped across his tongue the moment of silence that followed seemed like a lifetime until his cheek against her own stopped a teardrop in its path and her soft spoken “yes” brought tears of his own ....and yes, I said yes  < !signature--> What lies behind us and lies before us are small matters compaired to what lies within us. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson [This message has been edited by hoot_owl_rn (edited 10-07-2000).] |

Mrs. Hoot Owl I'm not sure what to say to you... Just got an e-mail today from our daughter (Skyla) and she wants me to give her away Nov. 4th. I looked at Rosemary and said "I have nothing to wear."
