And through the Heavens soared. When I came upon a brilliant light, I found it was my Lord. With hair like snow and eyes of fire, I bowed before His feet. In His presence it was hard to stand, My sins felt like concrete. Head hung in sorrow, tears filled my eyes. My mouth it couldn't speak. My sins were overpowering me. My soul, it just felt weak. A gentle hand reached out to touch me, A voice like thunder spoke. The love He gave enveloped my soul, My heart no longer broke. He put His loving arms around me, Such peace that I felt then. I was quite content in knowing that, He'd do it all again. Our righteous acts are like filthy rags, The Lord reminded me. Come in unto Me my precious child, For I can set you free. I was lifted up on Angel's wings, And through the Heavens soared. I had been forgiven my sin and... My soul had been restored. |

Dovey, this is exceptional and perfect, so inspirational... so appropriate to be your personal choice as it is SO YOU!! thank you for sharing it for the challenge and for your kind reply to my poem. take care, jm I think I could need - this in my life I think I'm just scared - that I know too much I can't relate and that's a problem I'm feeling ... If you're gone - maybe it's time to go home There's an awful lot of breathing room But I can hardly move If you're gone - baby you need to come home cuz there's a little bit of something me... In everything in you. ~MB20~ "What the caterpillar calls the end ... The world calls a butterfly" ~Lao Tze Tao~ ~Butterflies are meant to be free~ |

Leaving my religious beliefs out of this, as a poem it was beautiful. Really enjoyed reading this. ------------------------ "I've been too honest with myself I should have lied like everybody else"-Richey Edwards "Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints. Kill nothing but time". Baltimore Grotto "Libraries gave us power Then work came and made us free What price now for a shallow piece of dignity" Nicky Wire, A design for Life. manic street preachers "Rock 'n' roll is our epiphany Culture, alienation, boredom and despair" "To be nobody-but-yourself-in a world which is doing its best night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting." Angel I remember this one, it's so beautiful. It would have to be my favourite of your poems. So beautifully written. Je t'aime plus qu'hier et moins que demain." I love you more than yesterday and less than tomorrow (unkown) |

OUTSTANDING!!! !) Can I have more ? It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone. |
