In the winds of Cherokee song

0 posted 2000-09-22 01:41 PM

IF

If I were to lay a kiss on the wings of wind
If I were to send a vision of peaceful sleep
If soft caresses through heaven I were to send
Would you catch them in your heart to safely keep

If I borrowed a star to lighten your tender heart
If I romanced Luna so she would brighten your night
If I danced across constellations with loves little dart
Would you grasp them all and join me in my little flight

If Saturn would spiral her rings cascading to stairs
If black holes opened the doors of tomorows dreams
If Venus would hold us in the visions of her love's cares
Would you know that upon the winds, all is just what it seems

If the wisping comets swept you up riding within their tail
If whispers of warmth appeared kissing you on your cheek
If the mistress of breezes suddenly lifted your wings upon sail
Would you allow her touch to tell you of the love that you seek

If the winds of now brought the gifts of our tomorrow
If all of these were sent and placed at the toes of your feet
If the happiness were able to take away all of your sorrow
Would you kiss my heart in the presence of angels when first we meet

Mark as usual your dancing ummm, simply devine and heavenly, There must be angels singing and the stars twinkling as the sky is your dance floor and the clouds are your cushions of delight. Talking about champagne kisses and caviar dreams!

Mark,
this is BY FAR the the most exceptional poem
you have written to date...
exquisite dont touch it....
my words wont do it justice
a woman wanders this earth a lifetime hoping to but once inspire something like this in a man...
after writng at this level some would say it was time to lay down the pen...
but i know the next one you write WHEN inspired like this...
will be as equally breathtaking and stunning
your gift of imagery laced emotions is showcased in this piece.
(so to answer the question I know you gonna ask...10 baby...10...times 10.)

Mark,

this was so very powerful...I tell you this from a woman's point of view, I was figuratively on my knees, whispering "yes, I would, yes".

rp25-You already do and much more.  One thing I have learned here is that YOU write like YOU and everything will shine as YOU want it to.

Marsha-Well thank you so much and I do try to paint the best words I can and I am glad you can enjoy them.

Passing shadows-ON YOUR KNEES???? well get up girlie....just a simple smile would do honestly.  Thank you so much.

inot2B-Why thank you but if it isn't in the heart I don't think it would do anyone any good do you?  I thank you again for such a sweet reply

Melissa-Why thank you and as far as master...well if one deserves that title then one should wear it.  It is not for me as I write to share my heart and only my heart, nothing else.  I thank you so much for all you say and all you are.

Martie-Well thank you my sweet friend. I am so glad that I have friends like you to make me feel good.

Juls-I love seeing me happy also my friend.  Come to think of it...you seem to be smiling more these days as well.  Nice to see and thank you so much

If I had not spied this poem tonight
If a few minutes I didn't find to rest
If your words didn't shine so bright
Would I realize this is one of your best?

Absolutely!   < !signature-->

Mark, all of your writing is wonderful, but this is phenomenal.  I have already read it three times, and plan to several more.  Absolutely outstanding!
All I have to say is that I wish a man would ask ME those questions!!  As others have said, SHE would have to be NUTS not to say yes!

chansondegeste-Why thank you so much and I have to admit that it is one of my favorites of mine as well.  Maybe it is because of what my heart was trying to say.

snowpants-I am sure there is a man out there somewhere that will or has in his only little way.  Words may be different but the thoughts and dreams are often alike. Thank you.

Dee-I don't mind at all.  Please feel free to keep it and I will forever feel honored that you would do so.  Thank you so very much for that.

It is the little BOX at the bottom (of the reply screen).  Just think about placing the "X" MARKs the SPOT whenever you see this cowboy.
