Ok, this is the second part of a poem I posted in Teen #2, which can be found here: /pip/Forum21/HTML/001551.html  A battle rages forth within my soul Endlessly vicious and taking its toll Demons charge forth with blades of fire I am defenseless in a situation quite dire Fortified deep within my keep Fighting against odds far too steep I fight for my soul against the hordes Praying my walls will stop the swords A battle rages forth within my soul In my walls they've burrowed a hole Streaming in, I cannot keep pace The demons have invaded my base I kill one after another, only to face more Why did they start this horrible war? Now I am overwhelmed, my strength depleted I run back to my bedchambers, not yet defeated A battle rages forth within my soul My soul I tenaciously control No demons shall take it from me Even though defeat I do foresee I shall fight valiantly till the bitter end Back to hell these demons I shall send Back to vile pits whence they came Never my soul shall they lay claim [This message has been edited by Mistikman (edited 03-08-2000).] |

Wow! Beautiful word usage. Very descriptive. I enjoyed this poem a lot. It was very very good. |

Well, Sam, thank you Poet deVine- Thank you, and I will I love writing poetry, and cannot foresee stopping any time soon. The only thing that keeps me from writing all day long is a lack of inspiration |

angel6917- Thanks, and I hope so, they are rather relentless in their campaign to ruin my life. As long as I have the poetry I have a means of fighting back though. |
