It won't pass beyond the sand It has been commanded To stay, by your mighty hand The water with such vastness The waves crash on the shore Listening to the ocean Can bring such peace and more It brings a calm to your soul To hear the beat of waves And know the sweet Creator Is the one alone who Saves <*\\\>< I know not what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future. |

Becky; This is so calming and gently peaceful. I love the beach and the sea, it's where I grew up and where I feel His presence. A place for contemplation. Beautiful poem! Hi Becky, The sea certainly has this calming effect or just the closing of our eyes meditating on His love, allowing it to wash over us. This is a beautiful poem of His love and saving grace. Love, Marcy |

Love it. Yes, He's in control of all. So many times I've beat myself up over something then realize the total control wasn't my responsibility....He does that. This is a great reminder, knowing He holds the water in the seas. Thank you. Love, Mom |

Thanks Ellie! I love it as well, just don't get there often. Only twice as a matter of fact, but I could hear it crashing. Calmed me it did. Thanks Marcy. I think I need to go close mine It all amazing and mind blowing when we spend some deep thought on it. Thanks Mom. Thank you Bonnie, I'm glad you enjoyed it! <*\\\>< I know not what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future. |

I've always marvelled at the serenity and luring pull of the ocean, I have been blessed with the opportunity to live so close to it, that indeed that is the first place I go when my heart is heavy and I need a reprieve. Thanks much. With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free.. dragonpoe |

Thank you all! The ocean is an awesome place, one I wish I could get to often. I believe I've only been there twice. But what from what I remember, it's a place of lulling peace. <*\\\>< I know not what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future. I don't question YOUR existance - GOD |

You paint a mighty picture here of contrasts: Display of power-and the sand which is moved only by the waves; The crashing sounds of furies in the moving waters and the peaceful serenity of the heart within, of on who knows the true & only Redeemer. And yet it all goes together so well, and you've brought it all together so nicely. Thank you, David |

I think you did an excellent job with this poem! I have never thought of waves like this, and I hear them by Lake Michigan every morning. Nicely done "Disagreements stimulate thought, thought stimulates action, and action stimulates life." --Lakewalker http://www.thehungersite.com |

Yes, I love the sea, too. I love to watch the waves break on land. It's almost mesmerizing, to see the water shape the land. |
