I was cleaning my office and found my 'Dictionary of Cliches' among all my other dictionaries and sat down to put this together... Hint: There is at least one in every stanza but the last..... |

"Flattery will get you [everywhere]" 14. "could you spare" [a dime] 15. "fair weather friend" 16. "face the music" 17. "still waters run deep" 18. "a blessing in disguise" 19. Oh..no fair!! I'll give it a go, Poet. I'm going to guess 21...which would be fitting for today...LOL. Honestly...I've counted 20 or 21 each time. One line I wasn't sure about. Hmmmm, if I'm so way off, I'll be sooooo embarrassed! |
